The challenge

The Department of Transport is currently upgrading bus stops to comply with disability standards. However, with 27,000 stops in its network, the vast quantity and geography of these assets makes this a formidable task to capture information about current conditions across the network, using traditional methods.

The team’s task was to come up with a viable, low-cost approach to capturing and representing relevant data.
